Looking for a different hot drink to try this winter? Try a Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate. It is a great way to use up any leftover pumpkin puree from the holidays and can also be a nutritious as well as tasty drink. Here is a recipe to get you started but feel free to customize with different spices and other add-ins.
2 Cups Milk
1 Tbsp. Cocoa Powder
¼ Cup Pumpkin Puree
1 Dash of Cinnamon
1 Dash of Ginger
1 Dash of Nutmeg
- Add 2 cups of milk to pan and heat on medium until warm.
- Stir in 1 Tbsp. cocoa power, ¼ Cup pumpkin puree, a dash of cinnamon, a dash of ginger and a dash of nutmeg. Continue to stir until mixed and heat until hot chocolate is desired temperature. Serves two.
